Merchants of Fun brings polish, professionalism, and organization
to recreation and camping ventures. We specialize in the growth
of healthy recreation programs and family camps. Creativity, set
in sound business principles, guides our success. Our services
suit all--private business, universities, non-profit organizations,
and individuals.
RESUME
Nancy
Noble is the principal owner and founder of Noble
Merchants of Fun. She was the former Director of UCLA Conference
Center and BRUIN WOODS Family Resort in Lake Arrowhead for 18
years bringing the program to nationally recognized status. She
has a Masters degree in Recreation Administration from BYU, and
over 30 years of broad camp experience at UCLA BRUIN WOODS Family
Resort, BYU Aspen Grove Family Camp, YMCA Triangle Y Camp, Boy
Scouts of America Tennessee Valley Council, and summer day camps
for developmentally disabled children. Her California CLAD teaching
credential gives her additional expertise in working with youth.
Other leadership and professional experience includes:
Elected office of Director on the Rim of the World Recreation
and Park District Board for 12 years, elected as Secretary, Vice-Chairman,
and several times, Chairman.
Commissioner on the Lake Arrowhead Dam Commission for the past
15 years.
Board Member, Lake Arrowhead Chamber of Commerce for 2
years.
Chairman, BYU Recreation Department Alumni Advisory Council for
4 years.
Director, BYU Alumni Association Board of Directors for 4 years.
Edited articles for Camping Magazine, American Camping Association.
Scout Leader, Boy Scouts of America, 11-year-old boys for 6 years.
President of the Wasatch Region, American Camping Association.
